Stephanie Kirkman Meikle – Chief Executive Officer joined Bethlehem House in February 2017.
Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Health and Social Care sector in the UK and in Australia.
Prior to joining, Stephanie spent eight years as Chief Executive Officer / General Manager of HS4LC, a learning disability support charity in Yorkshire, England, where she led the expansion of the organisation and a diverse staff team up to 40. Under her leadership the organisation won the Yorkshire and Humber Social Enterprise, Social Investment Award 2016 and managed a social investment project worth approximately $1.7 million for the acquisition of two residential care homes.
Between 2006 and 2008, Stephanie managed the Craven Domestic Violence Service Refuge Implementation Project, leading the work of a multi-disciplinary steering group to develop transitional refuge accommodation for women and families in rural northern England.
In Australia, she worked on health promotion initiatives for Yarra Ranges Community Health Service, Nillumbik Community Health Service and the Victorian Community Health Association. She is a specialist in health promotion planning to reduce social inequalities and health.
Stephanie is delighted to be back in Tasmania and looks forward to some spectacular wilderness walking with her family.
